Protecting Filters During Transit.
The integrity of sampling filters can be compromised during transit, especially when the filter is placed in a container with a larger diameter than the filter itself. In such situations, the filter is able to move freely and slide around within the container.
Electrostatic Charge and Contaminant Loss.
As the filter slides around inside the container, this motion unpredictably imparts an electrostatic charge on the surfaces of the container. The level of electrostatic charge depends on factors such as the amount of friction, ambient RH and temperature. These variables are hard to control.
When the Contaminated Side of the Filter.
Comes into contact with the interior surfaces of the storage container, static electricity can cause particles of contaminant to be removed from the filter. This loss of contaminant may reduce the accuracy of your results.
FilterSaver to the Rescue!
The FilterSaver’s cover design effectively addresses this problem. By matching the diameter of the filter to the diameter of the container, the cover’s internal lip is designed to hold the filter securely in place and maintain a 2-3mm gap between the filter and the internal surface of the holder.
No contact, No sliding…., No Loss!
